School Title I Plans Revision Meeting FY22

We believe that your involvement with your child’s education is essential to their academic and future success. To honor our commitment to provide the best possible educational experience for your child and work with you in that effort, we would like to invite you to help us develop or revise our school’s Parent and Family Engagement Plan, School-Parent Compact, Schoolwide Plan / CNA, and the District Parent and Family Engagement Policy.

We have planned to hold virtual meetings that will be dedicated to this important collaboration. The first meeting is scheduled for May 18, 2021 at 6:00PM. There may be additional meetings for us to complete this project.

Each school receiving funds under Title I, Part A of ESEA, must develop a written Parent and Family Engagement Plan jointly with, and agreed upon by, parents of participating students. The policy that we develop with you will integrate all the parental involvement strategies, activities and services for programs that may be offered at our school.

Additionally, as part of its parental involvement policy, the schools must jointly develop with parents a School-Parent Compact. This written agreement must identify and outline those activities the school’s staff, parents, and students will use to build a partnership, and the activities they will undertake in their shared responsibility to improve the academic achievement and to help children achieve the State’s high academic standards.

To assist schoolwide program schools to meet their responsibility to provide for all their students served, the opportunity to meet the State’s challenging student academic achievement standards in subjects determined by the state, each schoolwide program shall create a Schoolwide CNA Plan. The schools must involve parents in an organized, ongoing and timely way, in the planning, review and revision of the Schoolwide CNA Plan.

We invite you to join us by investing your time and commitment in the future success of all our students.

Here at SCE, we tell all of our young scholars that having a laptop or using the iPads comes with great responsibility. Part of that responsibility is being a good Digital Citizen. Each month we focus on one part of what being a good Digital Citizen means.
