Advanced Academics
Dual Enrollment and Advanced Placement (AP) courses allow students to earn college credit while in high school. Unique partnerships with higher education such as Georgia Military College and Georgia Piedmont Technical College give RCPS students access to rigorous college courses without leaving the district. AP classes are offered at each high school.
Career Ready
RCPS offers more than 30 CTAE career pathways and industry certifications - such as Automotive, Healthcare, Culinary Arts, Film, Early Childhood Education, Marketing, Manufacturing - and Work Based Learning. The graduation rate of CTAE career pathway completers is 99.49%, an all-time high!
Specialty and Choice
Specialized programs offer students options to attend classes based on interests and talents. Students access these courses through an application process. Middle and high school programs allow students outside of their attendance zone to apply. Programs include performing and visual arts, pre-medical sciences, advanced technology, global business, entertainment, dual language immersion, AVID college preparatory, Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM), and STEAM which adds the arts to STEM.
Athletic & Extracurricular Excellence
RCPS builds champions on and off the field. Students can explore a wide variety of activities and have a chance to shine through athletics, arts, leadership opportunities, career-related clubs and organizations, JROTC, academic competitions, and so much more.
Early Learning Collaborative
RCPS offers educational opportunities for children ages birth to 4 years. Our award-winning Parents as Teachers program, targeting low- to moderate-income families, gives parents the support, skills, and tools to begin their child's educational journey at home. The Early Learning Center serves children ages 3 and 4 and holds the highest available accreditation through the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC). In addition, every RCPS elementary school offers Bright from the Start Georgia Pre-K classes.
