Digital Citizenship
Digital Citizenship skills are those that people use to be responsible, ethical, and helpful members online and when using technology. Shoal Creek Elementary School works hard to teach students about how they can be great digital citizens now and in their future.

In addition to lessons at school, we believe that digital citizenship is a vital part of life at home. This week, try taking some time out of each day to talk to your children about being a digital citizen.

Common Sense Media has great resources for parents that range from recommended topics of discussions to ratings on movies and apps that our students might see. They even have an entire section of their website solely dedicated to educating parents on the "need to knows" in the world of technology today. Their Parent Concerns section is packed with the recommendations and information they have regarding the topics and questions parents submit.
