Principal's Message

Dear Shoal Creek Elementary School Community,

It is with great excitement and deep gratitude I introduce myself as the newly appointed principal of Shoal Creek Elementary School. I am honored to join a school community with such a strong tradition of excellence, collaboration and care for every student. 

Over the past 16 years, I had the privilege of serving in various roles across the educational landscape – from classroom teacher to school-level behavior specialist, assistant principal at both the middle school and high school levels, and prior to joining Rockdale County Public Schools district-level support. 

Each of these experiences has shaped my belief in the power of education to transform lives and the importance of showing up authentically every day to support and provide positive experiences for our students, staff and families.

At the center of my educational philosophy are three guiding principles:
• We have a responsibility to our students – to nurture their curiosity, challenge their thinking, and create a safe and inclusive environment where they can thrive.
• We have a responsibility to our educators – not support their professional growth, honor their expertise, and cultivate a culture of collaboration and innovation.
• We have a responsibility to our parents & stakeholders – to be transparent, accountable, and committed to the shared vision of academic excellence and community engagement.

Our journey together is about more than just academic achievement; it’s about leveraging the talents and time of each other to create an engaging educational experience where students learn concepts that will cement their learning today and prepare them for the future.

I look forward to meeting each of you, listening to your hopes for our school, and working together to ensure Shoal Creek Elementary continues to be a place where every child feels seen, supported, and inspired to succeed.
