Shoal Creek Elementary opened its doors in 1993. Since that time, many different individuals have crossed the threshold into a unique world of learning. From its earliest days, the school has been dedicated to the success of students. Shoal Creek Elementary fondly referred to as "The Creek," is a place where students come to study, learn, work, play and "show what they know." Each day more than 700 students are greeted with warm welcomes and encouraging smiles.

The family atmosphere encountered when you enter "The Creek" is what continues to make it a special place to learn.

Students are encouraged to talk about themselves, share what they are doing, what they are reading and where they want to go. This may be the reason that in 1999 Microsoft chose Shoal Creek to be the focus of its national commercial: "Where Do You Want TO GO Today?"
