General Ray Davis Middle School
Title1 Parent Engagement Session
" Overcoming Test Anxiety Awareness for Parents "
on April 9, 2024, from 5:30pm-6pm in commons area.
IMPORTANT: Georgia Milestones Testing
Beginning on April 29, 2024, students in Grades 5-8 will join other elementary and middle school students district wide in taking the Georgia Milestones End-of-Grade Assessment. Although student performance is measured year-round by teachers, this test is a standardized measure for students to demonstrate their mastery of core academic subjects through established criteria set by the Georgia Department of Education.
Information provided by these assessments include:
- establishing individual student achievement levels.
- assessing strengths and weaknesses of individuals and programs.
- determining student academic growth.
- guiding us as we plan for overall school improvement.
As a parent, it is important that you understand what these tests are and how you can support your child to ensure they perform to the best of their ability.
Notice to Students and Parents
To ensure test security, RCPS and General Ray Davis Middle School will enact specific classroom practices and procedures during critical testing days. These procedures include turning off personal electronic devices and placing them in a designated place away from the testing area.
